Tell us a little about your company? My background is in graphic design, but photography and I have a love affair that goes back 15 years.

Currently, my graphic design world has collided with my passion for lifestyle photography. I love capturing and telling stories!

When did you establish your business? 2009

What sets you apart from your competition? My style and personality set me apart. I am fresh, real, bright and sometimes a little silly. I love pops of color and celebrating quirky details.

Where do you find inspiration? My inspirational sources include some of the usual suspects: pinterest, design mags, my favorite bloggers, instagram. To get away from the computer, I’ll take a stroll through target or anthropologie… and gap kids is a favorite!

What trend do you see coming for weddings this year? Balloons worked into display elements, copper, the 70’s and some baja-ca/fiesta love, woven details.

Can you share a funny/embarrassing/touching story about one of your clients? This last summer, I had a wonderful time working with a stunning couple in San Francisco. At the reception, the groom busted out with a dance for his bride. It was freestyle dancing and a chance for him to show off his personality.

The bride was shocked at first, but then 3/4 through the song she busted out her own dance moves. All of it was spectacular and the guests loved it. Some were laughing so hard in enjoyment that they had tears streaming down their faces. It was hands down one of my favorite wedding moments ever!

What’s your favorite comment/compliment that one of your clients has given you? A lot of my brides comment on how help them stay calm right before the ceremony… I really try to focus on that, so I love hearing that I was successful!

What’s your favorite local restaurant? The Magpie Café

What’s your favorite local charity? Make-a-wish has had a huge impact on my friend’s life, so I’m a big fan.

What is your favorite fun thing to do locally? Go to the farmer’s market or antique faire.

Do you have secret vice or indulgence? What is it? Ice cream… always ice cream. And, old-school photo booths.

If you weren’t in the business that you are in now, what other business/profession would you have liked to have done? I love creative professions, so I’d say florist.

If you were to plan your own wedding, or re-do your wedding, what element(s) would be most important to you? Photography and flowers… hands-down.

What advice would you can give to brides and grooms getting married today? Schedule a first look for your wedding day with your photographer. It gives you a moment to breathe in together and enjoy the magnitude of your day before all of the busy-ness of your big day whirls by!
