Welcome back to our blog series to get to know Real Weddings Magazine’s REAL bride models! In this installment, you get to learn a little bit more about Amber Williams, who modeled in Real Weddings Magazine’s “Once Upon a Forest” decor inspiration photo shoot. This girl defines ethereal, wouldn’t you agree? We absolutely covet Amber’s eyes, not to mention her beauty, and she was so much fun to work with on our shoot…gorgeous, sexy, amazing sense of humor—that’s Amber! Thank you Amber for being such a great Real Weddings Magazine real bride model! So without further ado, may we introduce you to our Real Weddings Magazine model, Amber Williams!
What made you want to model for this photo shoot?
At first I was quite nervous when I was asked to do the photo shoot. Modeling is definitely not something I do often. But, I truly support Sandra and Sparkle Bridal Couture and their mission to make curvy women look and feel beautiful on their wedding day. My own experience with buying a gown there changed my whole perspective, and I knew that I would do anything to support them!
What was your favorite part of modeling?
It was really fascinating to be in a photo shoot that was so opposite to what we have been planning for our wedding. The outdoor forest feel was simply breathtaking and it was so great to experience it!
What was your favorite part of this shoot?
Working with Beth Baugher of True Love Photo. She knows how to make me laugh, take the perfect picture, and she is so passionate about what she does. I definitely felt like I was in good hands. Of course, spinning around in gorgeous gowns was quite the perk as well.
What do you do for a living?
I teach seventh grade math and science–definitely different from modeling in photo shoots!
Tell us about your own wedding.
Ryan and I chose to have our wedding at The Citizen Hotel in Downtown Sacramento. It has the perfect mix of elegance and simplicity–exactly what we are going for with the overall theme. The ivory tented roof is absolutely gorgeous. Everything in our wedding is black and ivory. Ivory roses, black satin, a view of downtown, and all of the people we love. We can’t wait to celebrate our marriage in June!
How did it feel to wear a wedding gown again?
I was nervous that trying all the beautiful dresses on might make me second guess the one I chose for our wedding, but I realized that no matter how beautiful the dresses are, there is still something about “the one.. So I was able to enjoy being made up and prancing around in them.
What did your spouse and/or family think about your photos?
Ryan loved the pictures! He thought it was exciting to see pictures of me in a wedding dress that wasn’t mine. My mom was excited to show off the magazine to anyone who would look at it. It’s sitting on her coffee table as we speak.
